The 28 Fundamental Beliefs that shape our faith and practice
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the only rule of faith and practice. (2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Pet 1:20-21)
There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. (Matt 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14)
God the Father is the Creator, Source of all life, and loving Father to all. (Deut 32:6, Matt 6:9)
God the Son, Jesus Christ, is the eternal Son of God, our Savior and Lord. (John 1:1-3, 14, Col 1:15-19)
The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, and empowers believers for holy living. (John 16:7-13, Acts 1:8)
God created the heavens and earth in six literal days and rested on the seventh. (Gen 1-2, Ex 20:8-11)
Humans were created in God's image; sin separated us from God, but Christ restores us. (Gen 1:26-27, Rom 5:12-19)
A cosmic conflict between Christ and Satan exists, affecting all creation. (Rev 12:7-9, Ezek 28:12-19)
Christ's life, death, and resurrection provide atonement and victory over sin. (1 Cor 15:3-4, Rom 3:23-25)
Salvation is by grace through faith, resulting in transformation of life. (Eph 2:8-10, Rom 10:9-10)
The church is the community of believers who confess Jesus as Lord. (Eph 1:22-23, 1 Pet 2:9-10)
The remnant church proclaims the three angels' messages to the world. (Rev 12:17, 14:6-12)
The seventh-day Sabbath is a joyful day of rest and worship, a sign of our relationship with God. (Ex 20:8-11, Mark 2:27-28)
We are stewards of God's resources—time, talents, tithe, and offerings. (Mal 3:8-12, 1 Cor 9:14)
Our lives reflect God's love through wholesome living and care for the body as His temple. (1 Cor 6:19-20, Rom 12:1-2)
Christ's return is literal, personal, and soon—the blessed hope of the church. (John 14:1-3, Acts 1:9-11)
Death is an unconscious sleep; the righteous will be resurrected at Christ's coming. (Eccl 9:5-6, 1 Thess 4:13-18)
After the Second Coming, a thousand-year period leads to final eradication of sin. (Rev 20, 1 Cor 15:24-28)
God will create a new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells forever. (Rev 21-22, 2 Pet 3:13)
